The United Kingdom is renowned as a country of knowledge and civilisation. A UK student visa allows every student to work for 20 hours per week. The UK guarantees minimum wage for all workers, which means that you will be able to earn £129 per week whilst studying! Part-time jobs in shops, restaurants and pubs are popular among students in the UK, and you’re sure to meet friendly customers and colleagues at work.
UK universities have close partnerships with many internationally renowned companies based in the UK, such as the BBC, Rolls Royce, or Burberry. You are encouraged to do internships during your studies, and universities have careers services which can help you with this. Students on vocational courses often have a ‘sandwich’ year where they have to take a year in industry!
